This wool comes from Coburg chestnut sheep from Borken Westphalia.
Their wool is also known as the golden Vies, the base colour is beige and there are reddish brown awn hairs in the fleece. The fleece becomes a beautiful mottled yarn when spun. Also suitable for beginners.
The sheep are used on nature conservation areas there. The wool was washed and sorted by hand. The wool was carded at the Wollkämmerei Rhein Ahr-Eifel on a carding machine, the fleeces are 50cm wide and maximum 2m long.
The wool is well suited for spinning or felting.
It is a natural product and the wool still contains residual lanolin.
